They will then share information together, and this can accelerate the process. This is something that is only done if people believe that the case is not moving forward as fast as it should. By doubling up on lawyers, it’s going to be twice as expensive, but it actually might help you resolve the situation at a much faster pace.

The only caveat to doing so is that it could upset the progress that has been made as you are going through your divorce. The new lawyer must be caught up on what is happening. They can take all the notes from the previous lawyer and look at them, and also interview you, but this and more time spent spinning your wheels. Unless the lawyer is completely incompetent, it might be a better idea to just see where things are going because, when you are getting a divorce, it is never a straightforward process.
